Update 26th April 2000

FREE COMEDY AND VARIETY IS ALIVE AND EXPANDING

At the Edinburgh Fringe 2000, Peter Buckley Hill will be responsible for THREE FREE shows; two of these will be familiar to old friends and one is new.

Here's the new show: the FREE PREVIEW SHOW which will happen Mondays to Fridays from 1500 to 1800 in the Three-Quarter Sports Bar, 4 Grassmarket, EH1.  This show will consist of different acts from all around the Fringe -- not only comedy, but drama, musical, sketch show etc etc: previews of all the variety of the Fringe.  A different show every day, obviously; come and go as you please, come as many times as you like.  This show will be organised and hosted by LIZZIE WYNN, Peter's daughter.  Acts wishing to perform should click here to go to the information for performers.

The two old shows are:

PETER BUCKLEY HILL AND SOME COMEDIANS V; yes, the fifth year of the show.  Four different comedians each evening, the best that can be got for no money whatsoever and, on a good night, a better show than you could pay for.  Click here for the roll of honour from previous years.  This year, PBHASC will be earlier than usual: 1930 to 2110, and it will be at the Three-Quarter Sports Bar as it was last year.

And of course there will be Peter's one-man show, this year called ONE MAN AND HIS FROG.  The title may be the only piece of new material in it.  Spend slightly under an hour in the company of Peter's songs and general waffle.  This will be at the Soup Dragon on West Port, better known by its former name of W J Christie's, two minutes from the Sports Bar, between 1700 and 1800 for the last two weeks of the Fringe.

Here's to Fringe 2000 and an enjoyable time for all.
